One of my favorite parts of doing markets is the little moments with customers that stay with me long after the event is over.
A girl stopped by our booth and swatched a few Balmy Gloss shades before leaving. About an hour later, she came back and decided to get one because she had received compliments while wearing it.
What made the moment especially meaningful was that I noticed she had already purchased something from another well-known beauty brand that sells products in a similar category. Yet she still chose to return to our booth and support us.
The next day, she came back again with a friend and recommended us. As we chatted, she shared that the gloss had really helped with her dry lips. Hearing that made me incredibly happy. When I formulated Balmy Gloss, I wanted it to not only look beautiful but also feel comfortable and nourishing on the lips. Knowing that it helped someone in the way I intended meant a lot.
Another moment that stayed with me was when a pregnant lady walking past our booth suddenly stopped to look at one of our hanging photos. She gently touched the photo and commented that the model was pretty.
What made it funny was that I don't think she realized the model in the photo was actually me, the founder.
After that brief moment, she simply walked away. It was such a small interaction, but it stayed with me for the rest of the day.
They're tiny moments, easy to miss in the busyness of a market, but they're the ones I find myself remembering most.
