It was our first time joining Pasar Sera's pop-up market, and also our first out-of-state pop-up. Two new experiences in one, so we were stepping into completely new territory.
A few unexpected things happened, especially with the weather. It was incredibly windy, and some of the outdoor booths were even blown over. The Pasar Sera team were very helpful and quick to assist everyone affected.
Luckily, our booth held up well against the strong winds. The only issue was that our products kept getting blown around and falling off the table, so we had to secure them with sticky tack. We also had to get creative and use whatever we had on hand—foundation compact became paperweight to support our acrylic pricing display and keep them from falling over. Our DIY disco mirror took the biggest hit, as the hook kept sliding off the mirror attachment. (It might be time to retire it, sadly.)
Not gonna lie, I was worried we wouldn't make back our costs, but thankfully we did. Overall, we had a great time and got to meet our people, our customers. Everyone was so supportive, kind, and fun to chat with.
